    Why I’m Thankful This Thanksgiving: Inbound Marketing Agents Edition

    Forget the usual “friends, food, and family” thankfulness – I’m mixing things up this Thanksgiving. I spend 40 hours (and often more) every week here at Inbound Marketing Agents, so this year I’m going to spend a little time being thankful for my favorite aspects of my job.

    If you don’t have a content calendar of your own, you’re really missing out. Creating and managing a document that essentially spells out what you’ve done and what you’re doing can definitely seem like busy work at times. I totally underestimated the value of a content calendar until I recently thought I lost all of mine. You know the old saying – you never know what you’ve got until it’s gone. 

    I definitely didn’t know how helpful my content calendars were to me until I thought I’d lost access to mine. Having a living resource that shows all of your past and future content, important keywords, and publishing dates ends up saving you tons of time. When you can quickly and easily access a database of old projects, you can make sure that you don’t repeat any past projects. And when you have the ability to schedule posts into the future, you ensure that there won’t be any last minute stressing over what your next blog post or email campaign will cover.

    When I thought I’d lost our database, I finally realized just how thankful I am that we use content calendars here at Inbound Marketing Agents. And to our now worrying clients, don’t stress – I didn’t end up losing the content calendars after all!

    Facebook Insights

    Starting a Facebook group for your company or organization is a great way to keep in touch with customers and fans. But part of what makes it so great is that it has a built-in tool that takes it from being a simple social media tool to a marketer’s best friend – Facebook Insights.

    Facebook Insights allows anyone who manages a page access to metrics that you never would have been able to find so easily prior to the wonders of modern social networking. Using Facebook Insights, you can easily see who your audience is, where your audience is located, what kinds of posts they enjoy most, and what time they’re on Facebook – and that’s just the beginning of what you can discover using this amazing tool! 

    I’ll be the first to admit that, without Facebook Insights, I wouldn’t be able to earn as much social media engagement and ultimately website visits and leads for our clients as I do. So thank you, Mark Zuckerberg and friends, for creating such an easy-to-use, helpful tool for everyone to use.


    This one goes without saying. Without HubSpot, Inbound Marketing Agents simply wouldn’t be where we are today! Thanks to HubSpot, we’re able to blog, monitor social media, create and send out email campaigns, make custom site pages, track metrics, and do so much more all from one convenient website.

    Not only are we able to do things with HubSpot’s help, we’re able to learn things from HubSpot. I think I can safely say on behalf of all the staff at IMA that there have been at least one or two HubSpot Academy webinars that have totally changed the way we think about aspects of inbound marketing.

    While tests aren’t something that most people are thankful for around Thanksgiving, I’m also incredibly thankful for the many certifications that HubSpot offers. Now, rather than simply telling people that I’ve learned the information, I have certifications that let them know I’m officially inbound marketing and HubSpot certified!
