    You don’t think so? Well, let’s take a look at some indisputable signs that you’re a content marketer. You won’t be able to deny any of these facts.

    Hey, royalty-free photos for blogs are hard to come by. Beyond that, who has time to seek out new sites every time you need to post a blog? With this one bookmarked, you save time without sacrificing cool images. 

    2. You can hammer out a 1,000-word blog in less than an hour.

    The first rule of content marketing is to write quickly and edit slowly (a rather more relevant phrase than a fiction writer’s mantra of “write drunk; edit sober.”) This job is where you learn to think on your feet, cut out the fluff, and just present the most important information. It’s a skill you’ll carry with you into all kinds of writing.

    3. You put hyperlinks in your emails.

    We’re not talking about copying and pasting the web address here. Content marketers most likely turn those important phrases in the email into hyperlinks, just like they would in a blog. Are you guilty of this one? I’m not…really… Okay, I am.

    4. You know what the “middle of the funnel” is.

    Here is, perhaps, the most telling sign that you’re a content marketer. If you know what the middle of the funnel is, you also probably know that this is the most often neglected point in the sales cycle, especially when it comes to content. True marketers know how to fill that void with excellent content to keep moving prospects down the funnel until they’re qualified leads.

    5. You discuss your most fascinating topics at parties.

    Researching content brings up new information every day. Sometimes you’ll learn things you’ll forget by tomorrow. Other times, you’ll discover new knowledge that will change your life. Probably not, but that won’t stop you from being convinced and trying to convince everyone else. Are you gonna try to say you weren’t talking about the anatomy of a good blog over dinner last night? We thought so.

    So, yeah. Still think no one will recognize you as a content marketer? Guess again.
