Passion Fuels The Inbound Marketing Fire

Passion - Do you Have IT?

No matter what service or product that your business provides, the one intangible is passion.  Passion is one of those overused buzz words but it also is what seperates your average company or person from the best of the best.  If you don't absolutely love what you do, then you need to find out what it is that you are passionate about and go do that.

In addition, you need to surround yourself with people who are just as passionate about the business.  As I watch performers, great leaders, great salespeople - the one thing that they all have in commom is a belief in what they are doing and a genuine caring about their business and their customers.

Inbound Marketing is a tangible and measureable way to get your message out.  As many of our regular readers know we believe in blogging once a day and providing great content to your readers.  This sounds like it's easy and everyone should be doing it.  Truth is, it is one of the easiest things to put on the back burning and then it consistantly falls through the cracks.

If you are not 100% behind your product or service and if you are not passionate about it, it becomes that much harder to keep up the blogging.  In addition, as everyone and everything needs your time and attention, using a Content Calendar and setting it up monthly allows you to organize your thoughts, add continuity to your blogs and track your progress to ensure that you stay focused.  If you can get a few blogs ahead then it takes the pressure off to create content daily.

Don't get me wrong, blogging isn't the end all, be all for your busniness.  Take care of your customers first and foremost and they will be the fuel that runs your business.  But Blogging allows you to remain at the forefront of their mind when they go to make a decision and will allow you to reach potential customers that are searching for answers.  Great customer service and follow up will make them a customer for life.
