7 Must Have Facebook Apps For Your Social Media Strategy

    Posted by Bill Faeth

Facebook's stock may have tanked post IPO, but they still have 900 million users that download over 20 million apps every day. To fully take advantage of marketing on Facebook you need to integrate with available marketing apps to maximize your subscribers experience and capture lead data. And we are not talking about Farmville or Mafia Wars.

These apps are designed to enhance your brand image, manage communication, and drive engagement on Facebook.  You may even get more "Likes", but remember You Can't Eat a Facebook "Like".  To turn a "Like" into a customer you are fighting your competitors to add value and create authority for your potential customer.  These apps will help you do just this.

ContactMe  Since the utimate goal is lead generation and customer conversion, you will want to have a contact us form on your Facebook Page just as you do on your website.  ContactMe allows your visitors to contact you via forms without having to log out of Facebook and navigate to your site.

GroSocial  Customizer lets you add dynamic forms to your Facebook page. Choose from basic form fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, or drop-down lists to help you collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, or just about any other piece of information you might need from a fan or visitor--or embed a MailChimp or AWeber form. Our form widgets help you generate more leads, schedule more appointments, and gather more promotion entries through your Facebook page. If you are a HubSpot customer GroSocial delivers form data right into your Leads module so you can implement a automatic Lead Nurturing Campaign.

Fan Appz  If you are looking for an app to help you build a sweepstakes where fans are incentivized to invite friends this is your app. Easily create promotions that require fans to "Like" your page and grow community.  You can even incorporate location based offers.  This app is very userfriendly and easy to set up and use.

LiveChat  A great app if you are into providing real-time customer service or support for your clients. Perfect for retail or high-touch businesses to bring live chat to your Facebook page.  This is the only live chat app we have found that integrates with Facebook. If you know of another please let us know as we are big believers in live chat for our customers.

PageLever   This is analytics tool that brands use to measure engagement and boost newsfeed visibility. Used by four of the top ten Facebook Brand Pages, PageLever shows where your fans come from and which ones are leaving, as well as the gender and location of the people who are interacting with your content. You can also use PageLever to identify and drill down into major spikes in your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to understand what happened on a particular day.

SurveyMonkey  Create clever, engaging, or even funny polls and surveys with this app. This app provides a great way to provide a new way of interaction with your fans while obtaining analytics.  SurveyMonkey isn't just for email and your website anymore.

Livestream  If you want to easily stream your next MeetUp or Event on Facebook, Livestream is at the top of the list. If your not holding an event you can still stream video to launch a new product or service, or to run a contest.  Facebook has used Livestream for some of their own events.

If you are into developing your own app then you will want to visit the Facebook App Center to learn how to create your own custom app for your business.  If you are not interested in designing your own app like the rest of us, then check out some of these links to see how these apps can help you improve your Facebook marketing and integrate into your social media strategy for your business.

If you have a favorite app that we missed, please let us know what it is in the comments section below.  We would love to hear from you and know how you are rocking Facebook.
