Inbound Marketing Agents Ranks on the 1st Page of Google in less than 2 Weeks

You have heard the term "The Proof is in the Pudding" many times before, but how many times do you actually see proof?  Well, the proof is in the screen shot above.

We launched www.inboundmarketingagents.com two short weeks ago on the HubSpot inbound marketing platform and now as of this post we are ranked for two pages on the first page of Google for the keyword Inbound Marketing Nashville.  This seems to be what everyone wants right? The truth be told it is not that hard depending on the difficulty of the keyword you are targeting.

First: You see that the keyword is not Inbound Marketing, but Inbound Marketing Nashville which is geo-targeted for local search. This is a key that any small and medium sized businesses either don't know about or forget about when engaging search engine optimization. Even though we would love to be ranked on the first page of Google for Inbound Marketing the difficulty of ranking for Inbound Marketing as a short-tail keyword is 37 times more difficult than adding Nashville to turn the search term into a long-tail keyword and it makes business sense as we are located in Nashville.

Second:  We have optimized our On-Page Seo for both local search terms via long-tail keywords and have also used short-tail keywords for greater volume search which is much more difficult to target. The key is optimizing for your business.  if you are a local business then you need to be optimized for local search and use geo-targeted keywords.

Third:  Long-Tail Keywords. Long-tail keywords will generate less search results, but they will provide more targeted customers via search and make your job easier when trying to convert these visitors to leads, and then to customers. Example: Real Estate Agent vs. Real Estate Agents in Long Island. If you are located in Long Island and perform a search for "Real Estate Agent" you will turn up results for real estate agents all over the country that are relative to your local area, so if you are optimizing for this keyword the leads you generate will not be as qualified as for the keyword "Real Estate Agents in Long Island".

Finally:  Content. Content. Content. Search engine optimization is not just about on-page seo and links anymore. With the release of Google's Panda it is vital to create relevant content and lots of it. Blogging is the fastest and easiest way to create fresh relevant content on a weekly or even a daily basis. We will be posting new content every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the next couple of weeks as our website is new.  Once we get the train rolling we will post new content every day to keep the search engines crawling our website and ranking for our desired keywords.

We have got to give a shout out to HubSpot as we could not have achieved this ranking so fast with out their awesome and simplistic marketing software.
